Do Poachers read blogs..?

February 13, 2010

We all know there are 1411 tigers ((well that was the count when they started broadcasting that campaign.. not sure how many now) left in India now.. so spread the word they say.

They asked to blog.. now what is the use if you have a blog and not write about a good cause..

So I Blog… so I am blogging about it.. but when I thought about it I felt.. how many of the poachers read blogs… or how many of those who buy tiger products read blogs..  or even if they do.. will it make any difference..???

It is not the cynical me… As optimism is the way of my life..

How can you kill these beautiful, majestic animals…

So people (you don’t deserve to be called that.. as you are worse than the beast…) please leave the tigers alone…..

There are intolerable amount of cockroaches in the world.. Please find use for them……

we all fell for the sucker punch of airtel .. or aircel is it… sigh… !

It is an initiative.. but i am not sure…

but having said that… I seriously feel and want that the tiger survives… there are few thrills that compare to watching a tiger in the wild… ! 🙂

My heart goes out to all the animals who are being killed for human pleasure..

Sigh!!! When will man learn!! We are gonna left only with ourselves ultimately… 😦

Unfortunately.. even that is not possible.. we can’t survive without them..

And that is the joke nature will laugh at in the end… we are digging our own graves…

    surely I won’t hurt one… 😀 😀

I know you won’t.. you are too sweet to do something like that… 🙂

there is a pessimist in my mind says that we may have 1 or 2 specimen for all the species and all will see that only…. 😡 😡

Maybe someday.. that might actually happen… then there will be 2 humans also as specimens saved by someone… hope they save some good people… 🙂

Of all the Tiger campaign posts, I liked this the best. Simply because came straight straight from the heart. ‘How can you kill these beautiful, majestic animals…’ – seriously…how can one do it? Unless it came to attack them, that is! And yes, poachers can definitely target cockroaches 🙂 Good one, Oorja 🙂

    Thanks Pal.. 😀
yes unless it comes straight at us to feed on us.. it is totally wrong to kill any animal…

Beautiful post…and yeah as you say, don’t know what real effect such posts make! You have done your bit…

yup did my part.. maybe any of the users of the products might cross by and be affected.. we never know…

Those roaches are quite the problem in many places aren’t they? They just won’t die either!! Even in Wall-E, albeit cute, the roach survives so much!!! 🙂

They are the ultimate survivors.. we must learn something from those creatures.. to be as adaptable… haven’t sen Wall-E yet.. but reminds me of an old movie called “Short curcuit” 🙂

Beautiful pictures of these majestic creatures. The Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger is just starting. I don’t know how, but perhaps that will help bring awareness?
I will surround the tigers with my good thoughts.

How ironic or maybe how relevant the year of the Tiger starts now….

count me in.. i too will have good thoughts for the tigers.. and all other animals also..

lol… i loved that ending comment about cockroaches 😀 😀 but unfortunately those things dont die easily. u have to chase them all over the place to be able to catch hold of even one, let alone stomp them or spray them 🙄

    😀 😀 absolutely….

on a more serious note… 😐 altho i do agree with ur point abt poachers not reading blogs, i think the awareness matters. we need the govt to sit up and take notice, and raise laws about this. the tiger is such a majestic animal… its sad really 😦

yes i agree poachers don’t but govt. may.. and if every other blog writes about it… then maybe they will act quicker as blogs are being taken seriously…

      Thanks.. 🙂
Actually the tigers are so beautiful that i didn’t have to work hard..

yeah Ash agree on the cockroaches bit. 😀 .though cant bring myself to kill them or see them being squashed… but if someone else does the job…well I dont mind 😀

      Me too…. 😀

  8. February 14, 2010 3:48 pm

er..even if they read it, why would they care abt it?

Poachers definitely won’t but as Ash pointed out Govt. may.. so let’s do our bit…

Love the collage! gorgeous collage of a truly majestic creature!

I hope we are able to protect at least one creature from extinction 😦

Hmm… how sad.. we are talking about extinction of our National animal here…. I think the poachers lack delay of gratification.. if they don’t leave the tigers alone now.. they’ll be out of work for a long time…. can’t they see that….

Nice blog, like it a lot. Blog rolling you 🙂

Lovely pics. Amazing animal. Sad things are going the way it is.
Wonder what we can do at all.
Guess the Govt should declare high sums of reward for anyone who turns in poachers…and give security to villagers from prowlings tigers. That’s be a good incentive — esp to people who live in close proximity to tigers…they will be able to do much more than we can! this’d mean they don’t kill them for self-protection or whatever.

Ugh there’s nothing that makes my blood boil more than the slaughter of innocent animals. I hate these people from the core of my heart, but if only I could channelize my hurt and anger to help these wonderful creatures…! A tiger hunts to feed himself, but what purpose are these heartless poachers achieving??
